Art From the Heart
Morning All! Back today with a layout from Sarah Barber Designs Art from the Heart. This is a really cool hand painted kit. My layout titled A Different Kind of Artist was created with this kit and a photo from the Library of Congress. I have always struggled with the term artist-especially since I almost flunked art in Junior High (thats when it was stilled called Junior High and not Middle School!). Imagine my delight to finally get published in a national digital art/scrapbook magazine only to find that they spelled my name wrong!

A Lil Love
Had a wonderful opportunity this summer to spend some time with extended family. Mikes cousin and aunt from North Florida were able to visit and we got some awesome photos. Here Mikes dad poses with his two sisters-Betty and Jeanne.

The Ol Ballgame
Trying to catch up with my version of last years project 53. Can't say that I kept up my photos weekly but am trying to create pages that reflect the events that transpired during the year. The page celebrates our yearly family reunion down at the Ole Ball Game. We meet Mikes family at the home of the Fort Myers Miracle every 4th of July. After the game we are treated to the best fireworks in town. More often than not we are rained out! Not this year! I forgot my camera-luckily my neice Sofia did not!

Going Home
Been busy this week with lots of new pages to post! Check back often to see what I have been working on. Today I have Sweet Memories-a layout with Mike and his Dad and the girls. Over the summer Mikes cousin and Aunt came down and we were able to get a bunch of photos of everybody. How can you say no when Aunt Betty wants you to pose for her!

February Desktop
February is right around the corner. Almost time to be thinking about Valentines Day. I created my own desktop for this month. Having never done it before it was surprisingly easy. May have to do it every month! This one features one of my favorite subjects-Jessica! While we were orange picking she met a new friend. Soar
January is all about new beginnings! I chose Soar as my word of the year-this year I want to soar above it all and not get caught up in the everyday craziness! I created this layout with A Beginning by Sarah Barber Designs. When I saw this kit and all those lovely birds I knew it was just perfect!

This Moment
I was lucky enough to have my parents visit right before Christmas. We did alot of touristy things-including watching the manatees. This time we actually saw manatees. Yeah! Making Observations
Started the Art Journal Caravan this year again. Didn't really do much with it last year but this year I really want to keep up. That being said I completed my first challange-The mind. I found this fabulous brain on flickr which I then filled up with symbols from some of my favorite designers-Viva Artistry, Tangie Baxter, Christina Renee. I picked symbols which I felt represent me-a cross, our home, my birthday on the flag. Along with some affirmations that I would do good to remember!

What a diffeerence a day makes!
Its been cold here in SW Florida. We went from enjoying the warm, balmy sunshine at New Years to having to scrape frost and cover the tomato plants. What a way to start the New Year. Luckily I think its

Count Your Blessings
Seems like I have been away from the computer forever. Life has been busy...holidays etc. Not sure what I did with all the extra time I had while I was on vacation but....it is back to reality and the start of a New Year. One good thing-a lot of the digital designers have been busy creating fabulous new kits. And Viva Artistry is no exception. Released today is their new kit Count Your Blessings. Made me step back and think about those things which I am most thankful for-Mike and Jess. Judy snapped this fabulous photo ot the two of them sharing a momment.
Love the colors of this new kit-yellows, greys, and orange. Makes me long for one of those new Project Life Binders!
