Tis the season.....the Thanksgiving season! Can't believe that turkey day is just 5 days away. I just love this vintage photo of a boy and his turkey courtesy of the New York photo archives. Reminds me that I am thankful for many things....my family and friends, a roof over my head, a place to work and the fact that my turkey comes wrapped in cellophane and I am not the one cooking it this year!
Mikes dad's family always had a fresh turkey in the barn each Thanksgiving. His one word of advice was never to name Thanksgiving dinner. It makes it impossible to eat. I am glad my only decision is fresh or frozen, to brine or not to brine.
